Mihaela Petre brings a unique perspective to her practice due to her personal experience and international professional background. Trained and licensed in both the United States and Romania, she provides clients with effective representation through a detailed and thorough analysis of every case. In addition to her commitment to excellent legal service, she also understands the emotional stress and confusion that clients may experience when dealing with immigration issues and strives to make the process as easy as possible.
Mihaela obtained her first law degree at the Law School of the University of Bucharest and in 2008 she graduated from Georgetown University Law Center with a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree. Mihaela practiced corporate law in Romania and worked as contract attorney for several major law firms in Washington, DC. She also gained extensive exposure to international development issues while working at the International Law Institute in Washington, DC.
Prior to starting her own immigration law practice, Mihaela served as associate attorney with Bromberg, Kohler Maya & Maschler, PLLC, one of the most reputable immigration law firms in Washington, DC, where she continues to serve as Of Counsel. Mihaela is proud to represent individuals from all over the world in a wide range of immigration matters, including adjustment of status (green card) applications, naturalization, inadmissibility waivers, political asylum and defense from removal.
